PRINCIPES ACTIFS (semences sèches) : 7 à 10 % de glucosides cardiotoniques (Ouabaïne), huile grasse (30%).

INDICATIONS classiques : cardiotonique proche de la digitale, mais d’effet plus bref. Utilisation actuelle uniquement en forme injectable.

HOMEOPATHIE diathésique : remède du groupe du Phosphore (Kollitsch p. 318). Insuffisance ventriculaire gauche, avec pouls faible et irrégulier. Chute de tension (des patients hypertendus), tachycardie des basedowiens.
